Why We Don’t Deliver Full Videography Footage / RAW Footage
It's a frequently asked question and request, but unfortunately, there isn't a straightforward answer or solution.
What is RAW footage?
Why You Probably Don’t Want It
A single clip on its own will not do that, and most of them won’t make much sense on their own. There are lots of transition shots, where the camera is still rolling, but we move from shooting one thing to the next. It could be filled with filming the ground with lots of shaking.
Basically majority of the footage taken are unusable to start with and captured with edits in mind.
Another thing, is the audio. The audio on camera is not good quality, which is why videographers often use external sources to capture audio. This means that if we do return any footage, they will not sync with audio and will require additional work to do so. Most of what you will hear is probably noise in the background. You won’t get the clean and crisp audio you hear either.
Like I also mentioned above, is the file size. These files are HUGE (especially 4K). I’m talking close to TB. These aren’t going to fit on a traditional USB or even your computer. We store and edit on a 4TB external hard drive. (You probably aren’t going to be lugging around a large external hard drive and plugging it in to watch it.)
What's best for you
